Join fellow Wharton alums for an afternoon at Baby Cat Brewery in Kensington, Maryland. Nestled in the heart of this historic DC suburb, Baby Cat is a place where community gathers and you'll see crowds of all ages coming together: young families with strollers, groups of friends watching a game on the screens, and multi-generational families sharing a meal and time together.
Setup: We'll have a few tables reserved outside for WCNCR, right next to the kids' play area, so Wharton families with young children can mingle while keeping an eye on the little ones. All areas of the brewery are open for anyone to enjoy, including the 18+ deck and, of course, the bar inside. If older kids want to explore while parents relax, this is a very safe neighborhood, with little shops, Carmen's Ice Cream, and the quaint Kennedy-Clumm Park all just a few steps away.
Food & Drinks: We'll provide some appetizers to share, included in your registration. Baby Cat offers a full cash bar in addition to beer. Cattie Shak, a permanent food trailer on site, serves smash burgers, wings, fries, pizza, hot dogs, and chicken tenders, plus rotating specials (it's delicious!) for anyone interested. Other great food spots are within walking distance too (did I mention Carmen's Ice Cream?).
Parking: Free. If the lot next to Baby Cat is full, free street parking is available on the surrounding neighborhood streets.
Public Transportation: Baby Cat is walking distance from the Kensington MARC station (direct line from DC's Union Station). The closest Metro stops are Medical Center and Forest Glen on the Red Line, though from either you'll need a quick Uber or Metrobus to Baby Cat (about a 10-minute ride).
Don't miss this relaxed, family-friendly Wharton gathering!
When: Sunday, September 27th, 2:00 to 4:00 PM
