Our Club
The Wharton Club of the National Capital Region is an alumni-run nonprofit organization and the only officially recognized Wharton alumni club serving the greater Washington, D.C. area (Please note that the "Wharton Club of D.C." is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Wharton School or the University of Pennsylvania). Our objective is to serve the interests of the region's considerable alumni population of over 4,000 undergraduate and graduate alumni by leveraging the School's significant resources and adhering to its standards for club governance and alumni relations.

The Wharton Club of the National Capital Region is an exemplary, transparent representative of Wharton values, helping our members to become pillars of the community and to prosper both personally and professionally by providing an environment that:

What is our tax status as a non-profit?
The IRS has determined that the Wharton Club of the National Capital Region (WCNCR) is exempt from federal income tax under Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 501(c) (3).
Donors can deduct contributions made to the WCNCR under IRC Section 170. WCNCR is qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under Section 2055, 2106, or 2522.
WCNCR is exempt under IRC Section 501(c) (3) and is further classified as a public charity.
Our calendar is full of events and activities. Your support and participation will help us build, grow, and sustain our club.
We also welcome suggestions regarding events and venues, special interests and programming, and other ideas to help shape the new club.
