Our Wharton family of the National Capital Region has come together to support each other during tough times this year. Now it’s time to celebrate our community.

Join us for our closing event of the year with Wharton alumni business Total Wine guiding us through wine and cheese pairings.

Bring one, all, or none of the drinks with you to the event—just your favorite beverage and holiday cheer. Kick back, relax, and take a moment to connect and give back with us!

Guided by an expert sommelier from Total Wine, we will taste three wines and local cheese pairings.

The event is free for members and $5 for non-members. Attendees will have an opportunity to network after the tasting.

Giving Opportunity - For every registration, the Club will donate $5 to DC Central Kitchen. We welcome additional donations through our registration site.

Cheers!
Maura Fox, WG’95 & Wharton Club of the National Capital Region (WCNCR)

Total Wine

WCNCR is thrilled to have Total Wine sponsor our event, co-founded by Rep. David Trone, WG’85. David helped us launch our club with an April 4, 2019 Kick Off, and we are grateful for his continued support. Total Wine has 200+ stores in 20+ states, 7,000+ employees of which greater than 800 are wine specialists. In greater DC, Total Wine has 10+ stores, with each offering thousands of wines, beers, and spirits. Adam Strum, Chairman of Wine Enthusiast, said of Total Wine, "They're very focused on educating the consumer...they really invest a lot of time in their employees, their training. That's one of the reasons they have been so fabulously successful." In addition to major business success, Total Wine is a generous corporate philanthropic supporter. Wine Spectator editor Marvin Shanken said, "The level of time, energy and financial resources that David and Robert Trone have devoted to community service is truly remarkable.”
