We joined with fellow local Wharton alumni on April 4, 2019 for the kick-off of our new Wharton-affiliated alumni club, the Wharton Club of the National Capital Region (WCNCR). Drinks, heavy hors d'oeuvres and camaraderie were served!
A brief presentation was made about the club’s goals, leadership, opportunities for you to get involved, and an overview of upcoming events. We were also fortunate to have the opportunity to hear from our illustrious alumnus David Trone, WG’85, founder of Total Wine & More, the largest U.S. independent retailer of fine wine, and now newly elected Member of the House of Representatives (MD-6th). The rest of the evening was filled with conversation, networking and gathering of your ideas to ensure the WCNCR serves the many and varied interests of our more than 4000 local alumni.
