Offshore wind is poised to play a major role in the U.S. energy transformation in the coming years. As the technology has matured with major projects in Europe, costs have come down, and U.S. states have set increasingly ambitious targets for renewable energy production, the industry is on the precipice of investing billions in massive wind farms. The industry sits at the intersection of the green energy revolution, engineering challenges, community stakeholder management and engagement, public policy, and investment. Join us on 25 February at 8:30 Eastern time to hear Pete Allen WG12 and Professor Arthur Van Benthem discuss offshore wind's direction and future.

Pete Allen WG12 is Head of Finance for Orsted Offshore North America. Orsted is the world's leading offshore wind producer with projects in Europe, Asia, and North America. It's been ranked the world's most sustainable energy company for the last three years.

Arthur van Benthem is an Associate Professor of Business Economics and Public Policy at Wharton. His research specializes in environmental and energy economics. His recent work studies the unintended consequences of environmental legislation and the economic efficiency of energy policies. His current research focuses on markets for transportation, renewable energy, and oil & gas.
