The Wharton Club of the National Capital Region is pleased to announce the next meeting of our newest affinity group, the A.I. Affinity. This members-only group usually meets on the last Monday of each month at noon, and the format of the interactive discussion varies between hands-on demonstrations, group discussions, and occasional guest speakers. All club members are welcome, but there may be clear expectations for participation for select events.
Building on the themes shared from our inaugural session, the theme for May 26th’s session will be From Ideas to Prototypes with Vibe Coding
Vibe coding is an emerging approach in which individuals use AI-assisted development tools to translate ideas into working prototypes, often with little or no traditional coding. The goal of this session is not to build production-ready software, but to explore how quickly business ideas, workflows, and product concepts can be tested using today’s AI tools.
During the May 26th session, we will present how to build a prototype using low/no-code AI-assisted development tools such as Replit, Claude, or something similar.
Attendees will walk away with:
- A practical understanding of what vibe coding can and cannot do today
- Use Design Thinking Skills to build prototypes
- A better sense of which tools are useful for different types of prototypes
After the presentation, you can form teams of 3 to 4 members, select a use case of your choice and vibe code it away. We will seed a few use cases as well. During the June session, you can showcase your project and share your lessons learned.
We will share contact information about attendees and A.I. Affinity group members so they may connect post event.
