In Part I we discussed how to tackle the most important sections of your LinkedIn Profile, namely the About Me section and the recently rolled out Featured Content section.
In the two weeks since participants have had these key LinkedIn pieces of their profile reviewed and revamped, and in the process have more questions (and more expertise!)
The purpose of Part II is to clarify, cover any missed gaps, and address questions you have. We will go through as many participants' About Me write-ups as possible and provide feedback.
Why all the fuss?
Your Linkedin profile is the single most important tool in defining your professional brand. It's online, public, and one of the first links anyone who googles you will see.
Your LI profile essentially functions as a permanent 24/7 ad running in the New York Times! This is that one place that you must create, update, and own the narrative at all times.
LinkedIn's key areas that help you drive the narrative: the About Me section, the Featured Content section, the professional headline, and the content you create - e.g. posts and long-form articles.
