Justine Wu Shome WG'15

Justine has over ten years of cross-sector experience in nonprofits, philanthropy, and the private sector. She can expertly support students and professionals in job transitions and nontraditional career paths. In her current role, she collaborates across sectors to promote resiliency in families with children from pregnancy through age five. Justine manages strategy and implementation of state-wide grantsracial equity initiativesbranding and communications, as well as other efforts. Before joining Children’s National Hospital and the Early Childhood Innovation Network, Justine managed teams of pro bono consultants at Compass, consulted for social enterprises while earning her MBA, strengthened strategy and evaluation at Single Stop USA, evaluated investments at The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, and worked in investment banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Justine also led the Wharton Nonprofit Board Leadership Program and served on the board of the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network of NYC. She is an active volunteer and mentor in the Washington, DC region, and a Voting Committee member of the Cherry Blossom Giving Circle. Justine received her MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and her BA in Political Economy from Georgetown University.
