Rising From Ground Zero: 9/11 And The FDNY's Path Through Crisis To Transformation

JOIN US!  Dr. Greg Shea, Senior Fellow at the Wharton Center for Leadership and Change Management, has just published a fascinating new book, Rising From Ground Zero: 9/11 and the FDNY’s Path Through Crisis to Transformation.

Dr. Shea will present an overview of the book and share insights from the decade of interviews and research he and his co-authors conducted with FDNY firefighters and leaders at all levels. He will then be joined by WCNCR Patron and and Wharton Management Professor Emeritus Dr. Michael Useem for an in-depth Q&A on lessons for leaders.

The evening will include a reception with food and an opportunity to connect with fellow attendees. Each ticket also includes a paperback copy of the book.

The FDNY lost 343 firefighters on September 11, 2001. Rising From Ground Zero tells the story of what came next: the rescue, the recovery, the grief, and the choice few organizations ever face — whether to rebuild what was lost or reimagine what the institution could become. The FDNY chose to transform.

All tickets non-refundable.
