Bio:
Colby Tyner is the Senior Vice President of Programming for media conglomerate Urban One. He is responsible for the planning, developing and implementing the overall content strategy for radio programming operations covering 60+ stations across the U.S. and also oversees Reach Media Programming, one of the largest radio syndication broadcasting networks in the country, featuring high profile talent and generating 15+ million listens a week. Colby manages the company's music industry and entertainment relationships as well as entertainment talent curation for television programming and company events.
Colby started his career in radio with Urban One in Philadelphia and headed to New York to help launch the legendary radio station Power 105 (WWPR) before ascending to programming.
Colby is an accomplished on-air talent known for his compelling interviews with notable figures, such as President Obama, President Clinton, Michelle Obama, Jay-Z, Will Smith, Quincy Jones and more. In 2017, he launched the Backstory Podcast which features a compelling mix of classic and current content. The success of the podcast and his experience discovering and developing talent, Colby was inspired to launch Pod Is Good, a podcast and media consulting company that produces high-quality content with a diverse group of clients.
