Climate Restoration and Supply Chains

WCNCR Climate Change Affinity Group will host a signature event on climate change. The event will have two eminent speakers presenting on two very important topics:

  • Sanjeev Khagram, Director General, and Dean of Thunderbird School, will talk about his work on market opportunities for climate restoration, and
  • Brent Habig, Vice President for Institute for Sustainable Communities (ISC), will talk about their work with companies such as Apple and H&M on creating sustainable supply chains

The event will be moderated by Arthur van Benthem, Associate Professor of Business Economics and Public Policy at Wharton and co-faculty lead of Wharton’s Business, Climate, and Environment Lab

Dr. Sanjeev Khagram is director general and dean of Thunderbird School of Global Management, ASU Foundation Professor of Global Leadership, and a member of ASU's Global Institute of Sustainability's board of directors. He is a world-renowned expert in global leadership, the international political economy, sustainable development, and the data revolution. He has worked extensively with global start-ups, corporations, governments, civil society groups, nonprofit organizations, cross-sectoral action networks, public-private partnerships, foundations, professional associations, and universities worldwide. Dr. Khagram holds a bachelor’s degree in Development Studies and Engineering, and a master’s degree and doctorate in Political Economy, all from Stanford University.

Mr. Brent Habig leads ISC’s international portfolio of programs that accelerate climate action and catalyze equitable and inclusive economic growth in cities and supply chains across Asia. Brent is a respected leader and public speaker in both the environment and international development fields, with expertise in climate change, sustainability, corporate partnerships, value chain development, entrepreneurship, and access to finance.
