Around 80% of interviews now take place online, and the practice is likely to remain a strong trend even once we return to life post-pandemic. And "interview" is increasingly becoming more than the traditional scenario of job candidate and employer, to now include clients interviewing consultants and entrepreneurs pitching to investors.
In this session, we will cover:
- The unique dynamics of online interactions: video technology is so advanced that many aspects really do mimic the in-person environment, however, there are some critical differences (pros and cons) for the candidate and the interviewer(s) respectively.
- Managing the logistics of lighting, camera, audio, background, internet stability, device stability, and basic tech - by being prepared ahead but also being mentally ready to react to things that can (and will!) happen.
- While still remembering to deliver the sharpest, well-structured, unfailingly data-backed answers to all the interview questions with a mix of quiet confidence, poise, and a dashing of charm (which part has NOT changed!).
