We have decided that we want to be proactive and prioritize the safety of our alumni community. As such, the Wharton Club of the National Capital Region is taking a leadership role of make the necessary changes to postpone or cancel our future in-person events until further notice.
As Wharton alumni, we pride ourselves not only in business leadership but also in civic leadership. While some of us may feel the risk is low and are happy to attend events in a group setting, we could inadvertently put ourselves and others at risk. WCNCR wants to get ahead of this by making sure we avoid putting our alumni in a large group gathering as it is not essential to do so. By so doing, we play an important part in reducing the potential spread of the virus.
