Wharton Club of the National Capital Region

is proud to present an evening with

Peter Biche, CFO of Monumental Sports & Entertainment

The Business of Sports Series

As in any sport, timing, training, tradition and working together as a unified force often leads to victory! There is no expectation to this methodology even when it comes to the business side of increasing viewership, fan engagement, growth within the sport, attraction of top athletic talent or the fan experience. Monumental Sports and Entertainment recently announced a proposed business expansion with Washington DC’s Mayor and City Council for a public-private partnership to upgrade Capital Arena existing facilities to a world-class entertainment district.

Please join us in-person on June 5, 2024, for an engaging conversation with Peter Biche, Chief Financial Officer of Monumental Sports and Entertainment and Wharton MBA alumnus. Peter oversees all financial functions related to Monumental Sports and Entertainment and its properties. He has more than 20 years of experience at Monumental Sports & Entertainment and its predecessor entity, Washington Sports and Entertainment.

Find out more about what this new sports and entertainment complex will mean. Learn how fan and local community experiences are at the center for the new proposed complex, and how the new proposed venture will help to inspire and unite the DMV area. Peter will also share a brief overview of the business of the sports and entertainment industry and what we can expect in the future.
